Who we are

About us

We own and operate infrastructure that delivers gas to more than two million Australian homes and businesses. We also deliver gas that supports the Australian economy – for power generators, mines, and manufacturers.

We are Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), one of Australia’s largest gas infrastructure companies.

AGIG operates across every Australian mainland state, and in the Northern Territory. Our infrastructure delivers gas to homes, businesses and communities; and transports and stores gas that underpins the Australian economy for power generation, mines and manufacturers.

We do this safely, reliably and in a cost-efficient manner for our customers.

Our business is actively participating in the energy transition by delivering the natural gas needed today and advancing renewable gas solutions for the future.

Since 2021, our Hydrogen Park South Australia facility has been delivering blended renewable hydrogen to hundreds, then thousands, of homes by delivering an up to 10% renewable gas blend with natural gas to around 3800 homes – and now we’re doing more. In 2024 we commenced production at our second facility, Hydrogen Park Gladstone which delivers an up to 10% whole of network blend to around 700 homes. A third facility, Hydrogen Park Murray Valley, is currently under construction.

Our Net Zero Ambition and emissions reduction targets outline our ongoing dedication to a sustainable energy future. We know that to deliver our net zero ambitions in a timely, affordable and reliable way for all customers, a diverse range of energy supply is needed. We will continue to work with customers and stakeholders to deliver and develop the energy infrastructure solutions essential to lowering emissions – including through natural gas, renewable gas and carbon capture and sequestration solutions.

Delivering for Australians

Our vision for a sustainable energy future

As part of our target to have 100% renewable and carbon-neutral gas in our distribution networks by 2050, AGIG owns and operates a growing portfolio of renewable hydrogen facilities, including the two demonstration plants, Hydrogen Park South Australia, Hydrogen Park Gladstone and the under-construction Hydrogen Park Murray Valley.

These facilities demonstrate the potential of renewable gas by producing and blending renewable hydrogen into existing gas networks and provide customers with lower emissions energy in the same way we are all familiar with.
